Here we go, launching out with new activities and new ministries…

1.  Adult Alpha.  Yes, once more we are beginning a new course on Tuesdays at 6:15pm at the church building.  This is an excellent introduction to Christianity that allows people to ask any & all questions they may have about the Christian faith.  I continually tell people that this is not the silver bullet of evangelism, but it is a welcome tool that promotes intellectual reflection while expressing the loving community that the Church ought to be.  Dinner & dessert served.

2.  Youth Alpha.  We are now launching our youth group’s main weekly meeting on Wednesdays at 5:30pm at the church building.  We will begin with a Campus Alpha course to reach out to new youth and to get all of our youth onto the same page.  Dinner & dessert served. This group is for youth grades 6th through 12th and will explore other avenues of fun and discipleship as time goes on.

3.  The after-school program, which will be changing its name to something really hip (do we use that word any longer?), is launching out into new waters this week beginning with a scavenger hunt.  They will then broaden from just Tuesdays and Thursdays (3:30-5pm) to Friday nights switching between games and movies.

4.  Intercessory prayer.  Please do not forget to come and pray with us at the church building on Wednesdays at 7pm at the church building for the church and the community.  The united, persevering prayer of the saints avails much and is demonstration of our love for the community and our commitment to Christ.
